CompareIVF ("CompareIVF", "we", "us", or "our") operates compareivf.com, a directory that helps people in India research and compare IVF and fertility clinics, doctors, and treatment options. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to everyone who visits or uses the site, wherever you are located.

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly. When you submit a consultation request or contact form, we collect your name and, depending on the form, your email address and/or phone number, along with any message and the treatment or clinic you're asking about. When you submit a review of a clinic, we collect your name, email address, star rating, and review text. Your email address is used only to verify and moderate the review and is never published; only your name is shown alongside a published review.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This is aggregated usage data and is not used to personally identify you. We do not currently show a cookie consent banner; Google Analytics sets its own cookies as part of this measurement. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We do not currently require account registration or collect payment information, and we do not process any medical records or clinical health data about you through the site.

How We Use Your Information

To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, share it with the specific clinic or doctor you asked to be connected with so they can follow up with you.
To moderate and, where approved, publish your review (name and review content only).
To understand how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it.
To communicate with you if you've asked a question or requested information.
To meet legal, regulatory, or security obligations.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

With the specific clinic or doctor you have asked to be connected with, so they can respond to your enquiry.
With service providers who help us run the site under contract, including Supabase (database hosting), Sanity (content management for our blog), Resend (transactional email delivery), Vercel (website hosting), and Google Analytics (usage analytics). These providers only process data on our instructions and for the purpose of providing their service to us.
If required to by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request.
To protect the rights, safety, or property of CompareIVF, our users, or the public.

Data Retention

We retain enquiry and review submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose they were collected for, respond to your enquiry, maintain a record of published reviews, and meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your information earlier at any time; see "Your Rights" below.

Your Rights

If you are in India, our handling of your personal data is intended to be consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it erased, and to withdraw any consent you've given, and to raise a grievance if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data. If you are located outside India, including in the EU or UK, we will honour equivalent access, correction, and deletion requests on the same basis. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including access controls and encrypted connections, to protect the information we hold. No online service can guarantee complete security, so we cannot promise that information you transmit to us will never be accessed by an unauthorised party, but we take this seriously and act promptly to address any issue we become aware of.

International Visitors and Data Transfers

CompareIVF is based in India and primarily serves users researching fertility treatment in India, including people contacting us from outside India. Your information may be stored and processed on servers located in India or in other countries where our service providers operate.

Children's Privacy

CompareIVF is intended for adults researching fertility treatment and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect information from, children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our site or legal obligations change. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to bring it to your attention.
